But Lorde is still a fad, like Adele. People only know Adele for one song, even though, as you've said, she "feels bigger than the song itself." But both Lorde and Adele have zero longevity. That's not to say fads and one-hit wonders haven't evolved since the 80's -- fads and one-hit wonders last much longer today, due to social media and business saavy.
