Well, she took it to 3 sets, which was definitely unexpected. She was way too inconsistent in the third to ever have a chance at winning. She had a hard time playing two good points in a row
Now that we know it's gonna be Serena vs Victoria Azarenka for the US Open title, I feel like Serena's second toughest matchup of the WHOLE tournament is a Victoria Azarenka one on hard court. (That just tells how dominant she is). If the second toughest person in the draw is 1 - 9 against her, it's her damn win . I wouldn't be shocked at an upset though, Azarenka did beat Serena once before, and it was on a similar hard court in Miami so I won't get TOO overconfident

Who do you think her toughest matchup is then, if Azarenka is her 2nd? At this point in time I think Azarenka is tougher for her than Sharapova. Or did you mean Stosur?
In any case you'll be unsurprised to learn that I'm hoping for an Azarenka win.
