TiK ToK sounded so fresh when it came out. It took a while to become a hit though. I first heard it months before it even charted, when it was offered as a free download on Ke$ha's official site. Those were the best memories. I was like, "damn this girl is gonna be huge!'
I first saw it on a Hot30 countdown website (my source for music back then) originally i recognised the name from Right Round, so i just assumed she was some old hag trying to have another 15 minutes of fame, however each listen i got more and more addicted and soon i was playing it over and over again. It wasn't long till it became huge at my school (with all the guys as well).
I then started looking for her past songs (singles/albums) and i couldn't fin any, thats when i realised that there was a new bitch on the block, and she was here to stay
Ahaha.. I think I was like the first person in my school to discover it, because I'm always online looking for new music before it hits the streets. When I showed people, everyone was like "who the **** is dis bitch? such a **** song!"
3 months later: "OMG TIK TOK BY KE$HA. mY NEw FaVE SoNG GuYS!!! Love It so MUCH"

I know that. The same thing happens to me all the time.
I always have wondered what would of happened if the Cannibal EP was never released. It didn't do so great, but Ke$ha got another #1 + another top 10 from it. I guess it kept her going for a little longer, although there was certainly more single-worthy tracks on Animal.
I think a re-release would of been more appropriate tbh (with 2 or 3 extra tracks) and a new album sooner.
However i wouldn't of left her first album with just 4 singles and move on to this ****-pop thing, it would be too soon.
So i guess Cannibal just gave her career that small kick that it needed
Does anyone else find it cool (but kind of sad) that Ke$ha doesn't know who her father is, its so unique for a pop singer, and plus it adds an exciting factor to her identity and her life.
I wonder if one day she will ever find out who he is?
