It's not generic! I mean generic implies that it could've been sung by anyone and the album is very Gaga, it has her personality all over the songs for better or worse.
Maybe not the songs but the instrumentals themselves are pretty generic.
If Taylor had recorded "Avril Lavigne" it would've smashed (in the US). It's so unfair

Since both Britney and Gaga are now has beens, their stans should join Team Jolie. Promotion for Maleficent (coming in May!) will start pretty soon. The more, the merrier.
"Aura" was a very promising start. That intro alone is so exciting, and for that reason it's the best song on there.
I love Aura too! The intro and the laughing are hilarious, the verses are funny and exciting, the chorus is melodic and catchy, and the "dance.sex.art.pop" (could've been the album title tbh) is flawless. It's the only out of the EDM experiments (Aura, Swine, Donatella, MJH) on the album that I loved. Everybody else seems to hate it though
