Thoughts TVX?

Howdy, darlin'. I'll answer for TVX, since he's unavailable.
Now, cuttin' to the chase, both "Captain America" films aren't great, pretty middle-of-the-line mediocre. The second one was better, though -- The Winter Soldier's costume design was spectacular. The first one did decently because of two reasons:
- Firstly, it was a direct tie in with "The Avengers." In other words, you needed to see "Captain America: The First Avenger" to understand major plot points in "The Avengers."
- And secondly, Chris Evans is slowly becoming a box office draw, effectively replacing Hollywood's former up-and-coming box office draw, Ryan Reynolds. (RIP Reynolds. "Green Lantern" destroyed his big budget film career.) Chris Pine is right on Chris Evans' tail, though. So, watch out for him, ya'hear.
"Captain America: The Winder Soldier" is doing astronomically better than the first one because of two reasons:
- One, it's coming off "The Avengers," not to mention giving some screen time to Black Widow.
- And two, both audiences and critics enjoy the way Chris Evans plays the Captain America character as a kind, all-American humble gentleman, with an almost childlike naïveté in regards to the politically-driven new world that he is now a part of. And, of course, the box office draw thing, there, miss.
Essentially, the only films that are decent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are the "Captain America" films and the first "Thor" film. "Iron Man" was the best film in the MCU, but both of its sequels were worse than a blind dog in a meat house.
