OK, so something terrible happened while we were in the voting phase: my computer died out of nowhere, which complicated things quite a bit formatting wise, especially construction of a new board.

But while it was out of action, it got me thinking: I saw how passionate a few players got about the game, and how spectators really enjoyed following it. That proves to me that this game has potential, but I think it needs tweaks and tuning from what I've observed in a run-through of a full case:

A list of points follows

1) The cases: I think the idea of a rotating murder-mystery where contestants become the murderers, and all the players investigate is a really fun idea. That leads into the next point...

2) Investigation - I set the game up to be more heavily slanted to Mafia-style deduction, where you try to piece together what happened through analyzing people's statements and posts. I feel like the importance of evidence you collected from the scene was overemphasized, when there was admittedly not enough evidence available where you could arrive at the correct conclusion solely using it. You needed to also talk things out with people, which didn't really happen, and I hope to fix that.

3) I want to make the game more transparent to spectators, and not rely as heavily on PMs. I'm thinking you just ask about things in the thread one at a time, and I'll respond? No action points involved. That way spectators can feel even closer to the action.

4) I also want the cases to stay interesting, and to keep them regularly occurring: so what I'm thinking of is formulating scenarios myself, and then asking contestants to volunteer to take on the role of culprit for them. That way I can leave more evidence on the board that will be sufficient to solve the cases.

5) Change in win condition: I know a lot of people don't want the game to end so quickly, and I think I have a solution. I think that instead of allowing only 1-2 people to win, I'll allow whoever makes it to the end of Case 6 to win. If you're a culprit and get away with the murders until then, you get kill immunity until the end of the game. If you're killed or voted off, you're eliminated.

So these are my ideas, again: Faster exploration/investigation w/o PM hassle/Action Points, pre-built scenarios, and a broader win condition/longer game time. Thoughts?

Also, these are pretty big overhauls: should we reboot the season, or continue from where we are right now with these new rules? (I'll restate them more succinctly, in that case) This is what I really want opinions on.

I guess we should just reboot the game cause it will really make things confusing if we'll continue this with new rules. Plus, some of the players really don't pay attention to the game so we can probably have a better cast during the reboot. (I'm not pinpointing a specific person tho, it's in general). Maybe you can have an application form to really know how interested the contestants are on the game


but before that, can you reveal what's the real scenario of the crime? I'm really curious
