Katy can write, but she never made a big deal out of it, so it shouldn't be a big deal to have more co-writers.
Dr. Luke/Max Martin will only yield big hits, not big album sales. Kelly Clarkson and Ke$ha are two major examples of that. And if Katy is trying to follow in Madonna/GaGa's footsteps, she can't retrogress, which is exactly what she's doing with this album so far.
