Gaining quite slowly on HAC. Personally, after hearing "I Got You", I hope they push that to POP/HAC/AC instead of "Thunder" now, especially given how slowly "Thunder" is climbing and that it's not in the top 1500 on US iTunes (all the songs ahead of it are).

First negative update on HAC. I think it'll recover come Monday onwards though - it's a slow week mainly due to it having a really good week last week. I hope it'll pick up steam for at least the week the album is released. Then they can send "I Got You" to Top 40/HAC/AC radio instead - as I don't think "Thunder" is going to do much unless things really start to pick up soon.

They really need to move on from this single now, I think. I get the whole 'Def Jam know what they're doing', but not sending a song to top 40 radio that is meant to be selling an album doesn't fill me with much hope. I think it's clear that the label expected this song to do much better than it's doing - it's still not in the top 1500 on iTunes - and are now debating changing the single.

I hope they get a move on and send 'I Got You' to US radio now.

Those updates are atrocious If she really wants a mainstream career she's gonna start having to network properly! The label should send her out to relevant award shows, fashion shows and basketball games.

I don't think she care about the success, She just want to create music and here we are. That's all it matters for her.

They aren't atrocious, the HAC update is decent with a good audience gain. It isn't pop radio - HAC/AC tend to be a lot slower (AC is very slow at times). Maybe the song will keep climbing then peak near Christmas time to get those sales? Maybe that was the plan all along?

It's nice that she doesn't care about the success but she can still have success and stay true to herself by sharing her experiences through her art by writing/co-writing. I can't believe Def Jam are willing to give her studio time but not expect any results from her

Well I can only give you updates based on what formats they sent the song to Take it up with the label not the fans. I want her to release to Top 40 radio too but we have to wait for the label. In the meantime I'm going to keep being positive about "Thunder" rising on HAC - her first song to do so in 6 years. I mean we didn't think Leona would ever be pushed in the US again.

Also Def Jam didn't invest in any studio time. The album was finished by the time she signed to Def Jam, so they'll make money from just releasing it as they didn't invest any money into making it.

I hope that's just a blip on HAC. It still gained a little audience and also gained decently today on AC. Hopefully "Thunder" will pick up more, if not I hope they move on fast to the next single.
