Who said Katy Perry was an one hit wonder? This song proves wrong anyone who put her talent to judge, when I watched this music video it was totally love at first sight. Inspired by the Las Vegas casinos it is totally creative and the beat of the song is just unavoidable. I'm not a fan of Katy Perry yet tough, she still needs to proove me her potential in her next album but in the meantime, I'll let her wake me up in Vegas when she's ready  |

Album: I Am...Sasha Fierce
The Great Beyoncé appears for the last time, worshiped by a lot of people in this site and hated by some other part, she could easily get the title of artist of the decade IDK, but as far as I'm concerned this song had to be here inside my top 10. Halo is so simple, so delicate, so pure, the ballad I was waiting for from her, best track on her album and one of the best singles of her career IMO. Big things are waiting in the future for this talented girl. |

Album: Funhouse
If only I had discovered this girl's enormous talent way before she released Funhouse, things would be way different. Who didnt love PDLM? Despite being a little simple it is catchy as hell, but not only that, it has P!nk's personal creative touch all over the music video which is also one of my favorites of the whole year. It honestly didnt peak high in my personal countdown but it had a huge longevity and you'll be surprised to see the amount of plays  |

Album: Transformers 2: The Revenge Of The Fallen OST
Damn I love this song to death, one of my favorite rock singles of 2009 and I would dare to say it is one of the best rock tracks of the year. At first I underated it like I did with What I've Done back in 07. But despite being made for that boring movie as I listened to it I saw its true value and by now I'm convinced it doesnt need the movie to shine by itself. The music video is also amazing with all of those cool special effects on it. |

James Morrison was pretty much of a revelation artist in 2009 for me. Starting as an uknown british guy he made one of the best ballads of the entire year, Nelly's voice was the final touch this song needed to be just perfect, and for the 5th time in a row we get an amazing music video which despite being simple, is full of emotion and sadness, I always love to listen to his songs on rainy days. |
