Fish oil helps with cholesterol and heart health, but people who lift take it more because it help with bone joints and makes the bone healthier, aka more flexibility when lifting things like that.
Casein protein is slow digesting so people take it before they go to bed since your body is asleep. I don't take it though. Just whey.
