I finished my song yesterday and redid the bridge today. I'm gonna sit on this one a few days, though. Last time I submitted right away and regretted it. I want a second opinion, though. Gonna have to find someone to look over the lyrics for me
I just finished my song, And I'm having so much doubts.
I want like 50 people to read it and give me suggestions.. So complicated.
I wrote 2 songs. I don't like the first one, though. I just need to get home and 100% finish it. It's currently at a spot where it could be done, but I wanna add more.
My song is v. dark because "Blood" is in the title
As I said before, I'm happy to look at anyone's song if they want a 2nd opinion. Although I didn't do well last week () I do have a BA in creative writing and placed 2nd last season. I have plans tonight, but can send feedback pretty quickly otherwise.
I decided to add a prechorus and it was just the thing the song needed to flow. I'm pretty happy with it now. I wish the judges could hear the chords and stuff because they're so dramatic and sinister and perfect. I'll probably send it tomorrow after I make sure it's exactly what I want. There's still a few lines in the second verse that need changing.
I'm nervous because this song I'm working on is written in the perspective of a muse of mine. It's a very daring song, especially with it borderline crossing genders. I hope my riskiness pays off.
I'm happy with what I have, although I wonder how 'dark' it is. I mean, it deals with disappointment, sadness, drama, bad relationships, etc., but it's like "I wanna stab you" or anything.
Ahhh things are all coming along together real well.. The bridge is ****ing INCREDIBLE so I decided to include it more throughout the song, that particular section is THAT good.. Snuck in a semi-cool rap verse with vague lyrics and the beginning of the chorus has a really cool reggae feel. I wish I could share with y'all all the melodies. They've been stuck in my head all day and would bring a whole other dimension to the track.
Just submitted. I'm almost worried my song's too dark. It gets pretty scary. But still I'm proud of it and its one of the best melodies I've ever written. Its an alternative rock song inspired by Evanescence, Linkin Park, and darker Kelly Clarkson. Hopefully I don't inspire another message from the judges, though. I didn't even use any profanity in the song, though. All the lyrics are very calculated.
