I just started The Way of Kings as well!
I like it so far. I've only read Mistborn by him. I've read a lot about his theories on world-building and fantasy in general. I believe I enjoy his world-building so far, but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of the "hard magic" he promotes: strict, well-defined magic systems. I think in his case, though they can make fight scenes interesting, they can take away from the allure or mystery of the world.
The series is so good I loved it
The writing was just so, so bad. The story had potential but I just couldn't handle the pre-teen writing style. ****ing nope.
I only picked it up because of The TV show.
