Welcome castaways to your 2nd Results Show. Below will be the rates/commentary of the judges for each of the contestants. After you browse through those, I will post the individual average scores for each tribe's contestants, a leaderboard showing how you all rank individually at this point, and most importantly the final average team scores which will determine which two (you guys voted on it) tribes are heading to Tribal Council.

For any reminders as to what each score means:
A score of...
9 - 10: You clearly understand the theme and delivered an A level entry.
8 - 8.5: You understand the theme and showed it with your song, but your song fails to do so as strongly as the 9 - 10 level entries.
7 - 7.5: You scraped the theme well enough but there's something missing that's keeping you from nailing it.
5 - 6.5: There's something related to the theme but it's not primary enough to receive a high score.
4 - 5.5: There's barely anything related to the theme at all.
2 - 3.5: You sent in a song. We're just not sure why.
1 - 1.5: You sent in a song period.

With that said, let's get started...


Tribe Abantu

1. e437 - Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River

Dylan - 4.5 - I guess she's not the person he thought she was since she cheated on him. But other than that, it doesn't fit enough especially when you look at some of the other entries this round. It almost fits more for last round than it does this round... You're at least improving, but not enough. Hopefully we get to see you deliver something great in another forthcoming round.

Nicole - 5 - I think you missed the mark here. If anything, this maybe would have fit better last round with last rounds theme. It's a breakup song obviously inspired by Britney. She cheated on him and presumably wanted Justin back after he found out and broke it off with her...but he wasn't having it and rejected her so she could feel the pain that he felt. I mean when someone cheats on you it feels like they're a totally different person than what you thought they were but that really isn't the point of the song so this doesn't work well because we have to think about the intent and message behind the song.

Ethan – 6 - I can feel the sentiments there that they’ve grown apart and he doesn’t recognize her anymore, but nothing in the song really states or hints that. It’s not a bad choice, but it doesn’t really fit the theme perfectly enough to score higher.

2. iHypeMusic - Mariah Carey - Long Ago

Dylan - 6 - I mean i can see that the guy isn't who she thought he was but other than that, it feels like more of a break up song where she's wanting the relationship back. The whole "stranger" aspect seems to be a very minor theme of the song. It needs to focus directly on that to receive a good score. Sorry Hype.

Nicole - 6 - An okay choice but I'm not completely sold on it. Feels more like a breakup song where her man left her and she's longing for him back. I can see why you chose it though and there are definitely parts of the lyrics that relate to the theme ("You told me pretty lies...You knew how to get your way"). Mariah is definitely saying her man isn't who she thought he was, but again, this just feels more like a heartbreak song especially because she's singing about wanting him back and all.

Ethan – 5 - There’s not much here I can find that fits the theme at all, aside from the fact that the guy lied to her, which I guess makes him a stranger?

3. coolcristobal - Bruno Mars - A Stranger

Dylan - 10 - Probably the best entry this round. It's like it was personally recorded for this round. This is also pretty good for an unreleased song. Everything about the song embodies what I wanted from the title to the lyrics. Perfect entry. PS is Bruno going gay on us?

Nicole - 9.5 - Was this a demo for another artist? I guess so because Bruno is singing about a man. I've never heard of this song at all! In any case this song fits the description of the round to a tee so it's a great little gem of a song that you send in. I really enjoyed it

Ethan – 10 - You’re so lucky to have snatched this song! It perfectly fits the theme. The couple has grown apart so much that he doesn’t even know who they are anymore. Awesome job, this song was made for this round.

4. johnsuxx - Ke$ha - Dancing With the Devil

Dylan - 6 - I mean we can tell the guys an asshole so I get the "sleeping with the enemy" part but other than that, there's nothing alluding to her not knowing who he is anymore. If anything, it makes it seem like she was aware that she was heading into something bad. We wanted songs about good relationshps gone bad. Definitely not as strong as last round. Sorry john.

Nicole - 6 - Probably the hardest song for me to judge this round. Mainly because I feel like this song could be taken many ways and I don't know the story behind it so I can only take it at face value. This sounds more like it's about a working relationship...possibly one that then turned personal (Is this about Dr. Luke?). Regardless, she paints this guy out to be an ass but there isn't really an "he's changed" theme. The only thing I can relate to that is the line about her being young so perhaps she was naive and was fooled by this man initially. However, I don't feel that was the point of her writing the song and the theme that Dylan asked your song to represent doesn't shine through enough for me to score this entry much better.

Ethan – 5 - I can’t find anything about it that relates to the theme, which is supposed to be songs about being in a relationship with someone that you feel like you don’t know anymore. On a side note, the lyrics are so fitting of the Ke$ha/Dr. Luke situation, it’s hilarious.

5. BlazingLovatic - Lea Michele - What Is Love?

Dylan - 9 - The chorus really hits the theme hard; espeically the line "when you don't know who you're lying next to anymore". There are some lyrics that drift off to other subjects but it still works just fine. I loved her album by the way. Did you? This is one of the weaker songs on the album, but for this round it's one of my favorites. Another great round for you.

Nicole - 9 - Not much to say here because this song is exactly what Dylan was looking for so you did a great job here. I just wish there was more to this song lyrically because it's beautiful but it is pretty simple. However, that obviously doesn't take away from you hitting the nail on the head with your choice this round while many others sadly did not.

Ethan – 9 - A bit of a terrible song, but the line in the chorus about “when you don’t know who you’re lying next to anymore” makes it a great choice for this round. Some of the other lyrics are murky, but it definitely fits the theme.

6. Starships - Demi Lovato - Remember December

Dylan - 8 - It's a bit hard to grasp on to at first. I was really confused when you sent this song in. But I did look up the song and it is indeed about a girl who has so much to say but feels like her boyfriend won't listen to anything she has to say. She wants him to remember what they had. I would try to find songs that are more immediately fitting in the future but a good improvement Starships.

Nicole - 7.5 - A decent choice because Demi is definitely singing about her boyfriend doing things that he said he wasn't going to do (letting outsiders influence their relationship). However, I feel like that doesn't automatically mean that she doesn't know who he is anymore. Sometimes people grow apart and that's just a part of life. That's what this song is more about imo. But I can see both sides of it and you improved since last time so nice.

Ethan – 6 - I love this song, but there’s not much that really fits with the theme. She mentions that someone changed his mind or something like that, so I guess you can kind of make that work, but it really doesn’t seem like he’s someone she doesn’t know anymore.

7. dimitrius - Rihanna - A Million Miles Away

Dylan - 8.5 - This is very similar to California King Bed, but it's more like the Haylie Duff of the two. But yes, it fits the theme well. Even when she's right next to her boyfriend, it feels like they're a million miles away. They're drifted apart. Better than last round dimitrius.

Nicole - 8.5 - A really good choice. Even though it is mutual between them Rihanna is at the point of her relationship where she doesn't know who her partner is anymore and they are no longer on the same page. All they are doing is faking like things are okay to everyone else but privately are crumbling. Good job!

Ethan – 8 - Ah, filler from one of her mixtapes! Great job digging for this one. It never explicitly states that she feels like she doesn’t know him anymore, but they’ve clearly changed and grown apart, so it fits enough with the theme. Great job!

8. Lucky#17 - Kylie Minogue - Sleeping With the Enemy

Dylan - 10 - You're on a roll so far Mr. Lucky. I knew either you or Cupid would snatch this after I posted the round (especially because it's the same title as the round). It's definitely a great fit for the round. It's an obvious perfect fit for this round's glove. Keep it up.

Nicole - 10 - Kiss Me Once is such a flawless album, everyone should check it out now if they haven't. Anyway moving onto your entry - this is one of the best this round. Lyrically it captures exactly what Dylan was asking for. The moment of heartbreak when you find out someone who isn't who you thought they were!

Ethan – 10 - Perfect timing! This song totally embodies the theme. I’m sure you weren’t the only one that wanted to use this one! Excellent job.

Tribe Jikelele

1. Sebas - Avril Lavigne - Complicated

Dylan - 8.5 - I actually like this. At first I was like noooooo. You thought outside of the box and it worked in my opinion. It's a different approach to the round but like I said... I like it. He's becoming someone else while she watches in disapproval. Good job.

Nicole - 7 - Eh, this entry is okay. However Complicated is more about being two-faced. Acting different depending upon which ground of people you're around. I would say that the round called for something a little more extreme than this. Someone being two faced doesn't exactly mean you don't know who they are anymore...at least in my opinion.

Ethan – 9 - Hmm… I wouldn’t have thought this song fit, but looking at the lyrics, I can see how you interpreted it. The guy she’s with has become a different person now that he’s trying to fit in with other people. Bonus points for thinking outside the box! Great choice man.

2. MiMiLamb - Rihanna - California King Bed

Dylan - 9.5 - This was in high demand this round for obvious reasons. It's a good fit. It's very similar to the other Rihanna entry (A Million Miles Away) but it's more like the grown up hot sister version of it. In the song, Rihanna's physically right next to her boo but emotionally they couldn't be anymore distant. Way better than last round!

Nicole - 8.5 - I absolutely love this song! It fits well enough. Rihanna is in love with a man who is distancing himself from her and no longer letting her know how he feels about her, which is creating the distance between them. This song is just so relatable! Why didn't it smash again?

Ethan – 8 - I just can’t with how terrible this song is, but it’s really similar lyrically to “A Million Miles Away” (like, really similar… ?) in that even though it’s not stated that she feels like she doesn’t know him anymore, it’s obvious that they’ve grown apart. A fine choice.

3. Speezy - Fifth Harmony - Who Are You

Dylan - 8 - It's a bit of a different approach to the round but it works to a degree. It does seem to be like the girls think this guy is just messing with their heads rather than just they don't know who he is. I do see where you're coming from and I appreciate the approch. Nice job Speezy.

Nicole - 8 - This works to some degree. However, to me it seems like they're singing about a guy who is extremely wishy washy. Always changing his mind about what he wants and acting like a different person everyday of the week. While I can see how you chose it I did knock some points off just because the song makes it sound like he has ALWAYS been this way from the start. If that's the case, can they really say they don't know him anymore? I just see this song being more about a guy who plays games and a girl puts up with it because she loves him.

Ethan – 8 - This one, like Complicated, takes a different approach to the theme, and it kind of works really well. The girl(s) don’t know who the guy really is and how he’ll be to her/them when they see him. Awesome job!

4. Element - Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

Dylan - 7.5 - You got the stranger element going on in the song, but it's more like both of them messed up and they're angry at each other for it. It's not necesarily them wondering who the other is. I do give you points however because they are basically strangers in the aftermath of what has happened. Still waiting for your A game entry though.

Nicole - 8.5 - My interpretation of this song has always been two scorned lover singing back and forth at each other about the hurt that the other caused them. So then this song works. Both people in the relationship have felt hurt by the other person and were shown a side that they thought was never there. Now, they have to go on as if they never knew each other. So good job!

Ethan – 7 - It does mention “you treat me like a stranger”, but the round is about someone that you’re in a relationship with and feeling like you don’t know them anymore. It’s kind of iffy for me, I can’t decide if it really fits or not. It’s not a bad choice, just not really what the round is looking for.

5. -brian - Tamia - Stranger In My House

Dylan - 10 - This one was probably the most popular choice this round. So many people tried to snatch it but you were the lucky one who actually did. It's perfect for the round. He's changed so much (also cheating) and she doesn't recognize him anymore. Another great entry from you Brian.

Nicole - 10 - This song is such an R&B classic! Another one of my favorites that was sent in this round. Everything about this song works in regards to the theme so keep up the great work (you also scored a 10 last time from me, so you are definitely on a roll right now!)

Ethan – 10 - Perfectly fits the theme, sexual goddess Tamia (I’ve actually never heard of her) loved this man and now she doesn’t even recognize him because of how much he’s changed. Excellent choice. Poor Tamia looks like a burn victim on that cover though.

6. Zune - Savage Garden - I Don't Know You Anymore

Dylan - 7.5 - It's a little bit of a backwards entry for me. It seems like he doesn't know her anymore but he wants to? They're become strangers due to the break up which isn't really what we were looking for. If anything, he wants her back. I do see where you're coming from though so I'll give you points for that.

Nicole - 6 - I feel bad scoring you kinda low because I think you just misunderstood what the theme was a little bit. Truly it was about not knowing who someone who you still have some type of relationship with is anymore. Kinda like a betrayal. In this song, he's describing not knowing who his ex is anymore after they've broken up and she's moved on with her life. Kind of a natural thing to happen though because not many people stay extremely close with their exes unless children are involved or something like that (at least in my experiences lol).

Ethan – 9 - I love Savage Garden! Never heard this song though, some of the lyrics are kind of confusing but it clearly fits the theme just from the chorus alone. Great job!

7. Nasiir15 - Nelly - Just a Dream

Dylan - 3 - Last round your entry was iffy and this round it's worse. I think you need to evaluate the theme or your song more because you're not really grasping anything. You're capable of more. I wanna see what.

Nicole - 3 - I kinda of cut you a break last time with your score but this time I can't! This song has nothing to do with the theme of the round at all so this is an extremely subpar entry. I know you can do better so step it up!
