It's a great pop song, but it's nothing special production wise. Plus parts of it are stolen samples from electro mashup instrumental albums.

I don't think some people here understand the complexity of records made by actual electronic artists. Production wise, RedOne is the cheap Kia of music while Madeon is the Mercedes Benz.

The Fame Monster is RedOne's production opus. It was cohesive, restrained but also varied and eclectic. It felt really modern and it still does. Everything RedOne (and I guess Gaga too, but her songwriting held it together) did after that was just loud, cookie-cutter and mediocre. Like all those desperate-for-a-hit J Lo songs.

Gaga's definitely taken on board everything from the BTW era and she's working with new producers that are all pretty similar. I feel like she's doing what Madonna did where she worked with 1 producer or a few similar ones to create an innovative and consistent record.

Lmao, no that's not how it goes, she has said numerous times she comes up with melodies and chord progressions. The only song on BTW she didn't fully compose is GH (she only did the chorus).

Producing =/= composing although they overlap and compliment each other if done right.
