Anyway, in terms of being bombed, the US has nothing to worry about really, because NK can't reach us with their nukes. What I'm afraid of is that they will TRY to attack, and then America will attack back with nukes as well and start an apocalypse. Who knows just how many nukes the Earth can take?

I don't think America would have to strike back with nukes, really all we'd have to do is bomb the places where they store their bombs and run along.

We do, but with an irrelevant country like this, I doubt we would, but who knows.

I personally would destroy their "weapons" now because they're a poor country and they don't have that many, so once they're destroyed they have nothing.

Considering the likelihood that some of those weapons are nuclear, the resulting nuclear fallout, and collateral damage may not be worth it and it would be in everyones best interest to avoid a physical conflict all together.

I'm pretty sure you can destroy nuclear weapons without detonating them. Not positive though.

Yes you can. Quite easily even.

Nukes are not simple devices. Slight damage makes them useless. Blowing them up with a missile would cause some radiation danger, but nothing devastating and it would not detonate.

The actual material in nukes is not really combustible.

Well, the whole snipping wires thing they showed in movies was always kind of ridiculous.

Best bet is to just blow the damn thing up and deal with the radioactive material after.

The problem comes in urban areas where you cannot hit it with a big enough explosion to be 100% sure you destroyed it. At the same time you don't want the explosion to be too big or it will spread radioactive material.

When it comes to just blowing up their nukes in the air/on the launch pad it is fairly straight forward though.
