It's funny now that Rihanna's album is picking up more momentum, all the people who bashed her are suddenly quiet. Glad to see her rise yet again, still has the steady sales!
LOL at Ashley Parker Angel. #5 - #31. I predict out of the top 50 next week but I guess it's his fault for not having a second single out. Nick's album continues to plummet down the charts.
AI seems to have the effect that if someone goes on the show, their sales shoot up. It happened with like all the guests on the show this season, helped Daniel Powter get a huge hit and helped Carrie this week. Not that she needed helping, her album is doing phenomenally. Oh and YAAY for for Dixie Chicks storming the charts. Havent heard the actual song yet but I love their whole attitude and message behind the single.

They had been getting tons of big time publicity from the liberals and all of it is positive. There label spent millions of a publicity scheme to achieve first week sales.
They have used the war to get attention and cd sales so I as expecting much more the first week. I kind of laugh at people who say I am glad for the Dixie Chicks when they probably can't even name one of their songs lol!!!
It is their anti bush comment that got them all the attention not their music. they have gotten a hell of a lot more publicity in the last 3 years from their political comment than they ever got for their music.
I respect artists more who stick to entertaining and keep their big mouth shut.
I couldn't even name you one of the Dixie Chicks but they should enjoy the okay first week sales while it lasts because they can't forever ride on the coattails of their anti bush comments. And for the record, I can't stand Bush but the Dixie Chicks to me make horrible music of what I have heard and they deserve no respect for using politics to get attention.

okay, lets calm down
some, or most, would call that whole deal between Bush and the DC negative publicity. I mean, their singles were banned from radio stations, they were attacked by other big named artist, and they were completely shunned by most the industry. So yeah, calling it negative publicity would be an understatement. And for them to rise above all of that, and sell as well as they are selling, thats amazing! Thats why I say that i am gald for the Dixie Chicks. Not because i know, or don't know their music. But because of their ability to rise above all the negativity!
