Plz, HITS predictions will NOT be that off. This is not the Christmas season. Why is it so hard to believe that Britney's numbers will not exceed expectations? Where is the hype for this album outside of forums and her stan-base?

I'm not even mad britney is gonna sell underneath 300k, her performances, her songs, it's nothing special, this doesn't even deserve to smash like adele

Exactly. The delusions that this will pull a Circus when it doesn't even have a Womanizer-size smash...

I like both very much and both deserve success.
But stop fighting, they are completely different.

Personally, I think the biggest difference that will leave many people "shocked" when they don't really need to be that way is the fact that this album was released at a time of year where sales are significantly lower than December when Circus was released.

Id say around 280K for Britney.
Which is amazing... and the second best of the year so far.... so nothing to add there.
I will say though that I doubt this will end up being platinum. But the first week of around 300K is more than very good.

Brit's numbers are expected giving the sales climate and the lack of promotion & preliminary interest, until the release week. The best it can do now is show some longevity, which it has the potential given she has plenty of promotional opportunities in the next few months & great songs that can become hits and keep it selling. I'm also a bit delusional to believe the tour may help it's sales too since it'll be done during the usual window of Brit's good sales period. We'll see though, I don't have too much relying on that thought.
Anywho, that's my say on things. No matter how many times a certain group of people continually repeat their joyful displeasures, 270k-290k is great for this time of year. Madonna, Mariah have had these same minimal openings before, with great albums, years & years, so I'm grateful. Not many stans expected too much better. It's also better than numbers of albums released last 4th quarter, which is saying a lot. Britney would've done more then, as well.

no matter how much she sells the album is still solid, its still BRITNEY, and she has the music to create longevity for this era if she chooses.

Clearly, the majority of "Pop sales" are in, considering Wiz Khalifa is so down. That said, I'm thinking 'Femme Fatale' will sell 283k 1st week.
