They've said its heart-related. Maybe he was taking a prescribed drug that didn't mix well with alcohol and died after drinking on Christmas Eve?

Please, let's stop relating Heart failure to AIDS.
Heart diseases are one of the biggest killers in the world, if not the biggest. He was also fighting against obesity during the last months.
It's really sad to see every damn gay relate the death of a gay to AIDS - When you do it, you just make the HIV stigma bigger.
My father for example, died at the age of 23 after a heart attack.
.
George had the most beautiful voice i've ever listened to! I love his music and i always share his songs on my facebook. This morning i worke up with 3 friends texting me about him passing. You can't imagine how sad i am today.

This is so sad. The fact that it's happened on Christmas day makes it even more tragic. Rest in peace.

I've been trying really hard to hold myself together. It requires an effort I won't be able to make for much longer. I had to excuse myself before dinner in the evening for maybe 45 minutes and then walked in the snow to the secondary school nearby, crying all the while and thinking about his music and struggles and about how I'd wished he'd find some peace and happiness on this planet and in this lifetime. You always pray these kind, misunderstood, troubled souls will somehow find ways to eventually set everything straight, and then sometimes it doesn't happen and everything you try to believe in just comes crashing down. We listened to some of his music, my family I'm here visiting and I, when my walk ended. I've been on the verge of tears ever since.
But it's a surreal sorrow. I know it's happened, but I don't believe it yet. When it sets in, there will be broader effects, and I'm scared, but he's worth every heartache. There is at least a trace amount of Mr. Michael in so many of the things I do.
Rest in peace, George.

People speculating about AIDS has nothing to do with his sexuality, you're being a bit oversensitive here. His partner died of AIDS, it was also well documented that he had a wild and anonymous sex life and was almost killed by pneumonia a few years ago. It's not completely baseless to assume that he was HIV+. He was also on drugs which often cause heart failure. They will never fully disclose the true cause of his death (just like MJ's and Prince's etc.) but I don't think he just randomly had a heart attack and passed away.

My family literately presumed it was AIDS related because he was gay. Not that every one did, but still.
RIP. a true loss.

People speculating about AIDS has everything to do with his sexuality since 90% of them are speculating just because he is gay. I bet no one would speculate that if it was one of Charlie Shee's ex girlfriends.
The truth is - He said in 2007 he wouldn't test himself anymore (His last test was in 2004), so it means that he was not under any HIV treatment/drugs. His Boyfriend died in 93, NOBODY that got HIV back in the 80's or 90's and didn't have treatment would last so long and look so heatlhy (for so long) as he did.
If Elton John passes away with Pneumonia, most people will relate that to AIDS and this is disgusting.

About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year–that’s 1 in every 4 deaths.1
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. More than half of the deaths due to heart disease in 2009 were in men.1
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the most common type of heart disease, killing over 370,000 people annually.
https://www.cdc.gov/heartdisease/facts.htm
.
So let's not assume it was something else and create a thousand theories related to HIV 'cause heart diseases are very commom.

Wait, if it was a heart attack, why would they say he died peacefully on his bed?
Something doesn't add up. I hope he wasn't an addict to drugs or something like that.
