It's actually much less because Diamond is based on shipped not actual sales to end users. Her actual sales in the US could be as high as 5.8 million in 2011. With the amount of CDs she's shifting with retailers I would be surprised if the shipped figure isn't somewhere around 6.5m. Then with her expected sweep at the Grammys will come many more retailer orders (the one thing retailers won't want to be short of is Adele stock post Grammys) so my prediction is her shipped figure could be as high as 7.5 - 8 million by the end of February. 10 million shipped will IMO be achieved later on in 2012. If this comes to pass, it really will be extraordinary. But that's what seems to come easy to Adele and '21'.

Shania Twain's Up! sold 5,5 million but it was certified 11x Platinum because it was a double album.

Their album both released in 2002. Shania Twain got her diamond in 2004, and Norah Jones got hers in 2005. But we know certificates will be given only if record company files for it. As I recall, they both reach the 10 platinum milestone in 2004. However, the date of certificates being given were in different year.

and I hope it gets at least 20 Million worldwide and will be among the Best Sellers of All Time
