Gaga says a lot of things. She gave like five explanations for Judas that meant slightly different things.
I remember her saying in at least one interview when she was asked what the video for BR meant in relation to the song that it was a reference to the relationship between the pop star and the music industry.
Besides, she's the post-modern pop star, which points to the fact that her songs can take on number of possible meanings, and she's played off this with performances in the past, I think.
thats what i have always thought. gaga usually has very complex concepts for her videos that may be interpreted in several ways. like you said, judas has many explanations that may be associated with it.
The only thing is... In one of her earliest interviews about the song she said it was about falling in love with your best friend.
Yeah, so if the song is about a bad romance with a best friend and the video is about a bad romance with the industry, they could go together but in a different way.
Yeah, but I guess the thing is that I've always clung on to the meaning of it being about falling in love with your best friend. It's important to me in that sense. So I guess that's why I've never associated the song with the video, despite both being amazing
Well, there's no reason you can't take your own interpretation away from the lyrics, especially when it's one of the explanations she herself has given.

I guess the meaning I took from the song wasn't the one she used for the video. So while I became so emotionally attached to the concept of loving your best friend, she went another direction.
I don't think Gaga purposely comes up with incredibly complex concepts, I think it's just that she incorporates so many different elements into her videos that it's easy to come up with several personal interpretations.
Girls and boys, one advice don't eat Mtv's ********, don't hype yourself to the stratosphere, the hype is way too high, just wait for tomorrow night, there's going to be more than one meltdown, i learned to not hype myself up with the Born This Way single!
I'm not hyping myself, I'm just excited to see what the concept is. I'm not really into being negative, and, to be honest, being positive has only really caused disappointment with the video for TEOG.
