Honestly, you had two of the biggest artists working together. One being a female and one being a boy group. The song happened to actually be a good song and it was during the Christmas season. That automatically will usually guarantee some weeks after Christmas. it's no mistake that the biggest #1 hits come around Christmas time and in the Summer time.
