Wattson is the Gym Leader in Mauville City, and a really jolly old dude. Wattson has some interesting backstory with the New Mauville plot about the planned new city built below Mauville City that was eventually abandoned. It's a cute detail and an extra sidequest for the character. Unfortunately for him his teams are a reductive mess, being a worse copy of Lt. Surge in every non-Emerald game. Poor ha, points were deducted for that.
HausofNiko calls him "the grandpa of Hoenn, made it feel like home, King of Electric", I spot a few lies, while Hugamari bluntly calls him "basic". Y'all didn't care much for the old sis.
