That is way too close of a decision in 2015 for something as basic as equal rights for every citizen.

It wasn't exactly close. Everyone knew Kennedy would be the deciding vote for gay rights (he's been pretty consistent on this thus far).

And no. I thank the Lord (buy 1989 on iTunes) that the SJs are appointed for life. Otherwise, the Republicans would be resetting the bench until it became a tyrannical judicial branch.

The next item on the agenda is anti-discrimination in the work force since in most states you can fired for being gay.

Culturally or legally?

Legally, the next step for the gay rights movement (organizations like HRC, Lambda Legal) is employment discrimination. All the big groups dropped out of ENDA because the religious exemptions were too big. That fight will probably take just over a decade.

Culturally, they'll always be gay bars regardless of apps like Grindr. Its subjective and its what you make of it.

Yes it is, generally, but that's much more complicated. Adoption was tied into the Michigan case but there's other states where Catholic adoption agencies are still able to deny adoption papers.

They're right though. Is everyone going to be automatically fired for being gay? No. Can someone be fired just for being gay and there's nothing they can do about it? Yes, in most states. Some couples refused to be photographed after they won state cases because they were afraid of being fired. That's why there was a push for a federal anti-discrimination law in employment.
