Beyonce literally performed on American Idol & on the UN (infront of the entire world), BBMAs, etc (it was a 'homage performance!!') & lamely beat Brit by 200k in 2011. Less popular.

She also dropped like eleven songs btw & none of them went top ten, smashed on radio, or even touched the top ten on iTunes.
