She probably thinks she's hella producing when she's sitting behind Diplo like some 8 year old watching his friend play a video game. She thinks producing is telling him whether the song sounds good or bad so far as she sits there cluelessly staring at all the computers. Can she even work a computer...?

She plays guitar that's why. She didn't always get producer credits. Only when she started writing her songs on the guitar.

She's been getting credits for production since 1986 though - she didn't start writing songs on the guitar until 'Music'. But IDK what she actually does, beyond directing her collaborators.

Pretty much all the producers Madead has ever worked have commented on her talent as a producer. William Orbit even said Ray of Light was more a case of him being produced by her and that it really pissed him off when people happily ignored her name on the credits and referred to him as the sole producer of the album.

To be fair it's still input, even if they're not familiar with the technicality of production. It's more input than Britney at least.
