Even though I love BA much more then WANEGBT, i don t want it to be the second single, well at least, they shouldnt send it to radio until the album release, it s just so Lady Gaga-ish (3 singles annonced before BTW) and it didn t work !!!!!

It will kill WANEGBT exposure since people will focalize their attention on BA and she could end up with a declining lead single & a "new" second single during RED's date of release

About Adele, I think she didn t reach the star power of Taylor yet despite her colossal sales, she s just the one who bring unanimity but few people really stan for her, remember during the AMAs, she was during her heydays but she lost to Taylor in the Artist Of The Year award ( a fan voted award).

We haven't had a song to outpeak its debut position since Fifteen with WANEGBT. That was years ago.

Yep. I think everyone kind of underestimates how bad the reception to WANEGBT was on country. Taylor is a huge star snd one if the biggest names in the genre so of course they were going to play it, but it wasn't pretty. It's been treading water the last couple of weeks and if BMR had pushed it to the top 10 artificially it probably would have done more harm than good. Better to cut the losses now and release an amazing country song and smooth things over then let it fester and tick people off. And the fact that country has started dropping it already its clearly the right decision.

Plus they might be willing to sacrifice the longevity of WANEBGT so it doesn't get so huge that she can't escape it down the line. I can't really imagine this is the song she wants to be her defining hit when she's 30. We can let Love Story have that.
