It's Interscope. They also didn't want Gaga's album to leak, but it leaked exactly 6 days before the release.

If an album leaks, it is most likely due to the label letting it leak.

And if I recall, BTW was uploaded to YouTube a week before its release.

Once an album has been pressed and distributed there's nothing a label can do to avoid a leak until release date.

When it was first leaking, there were places (stores) actually playing the songs, but not selling the CDs. Soon after, the album was uploaded to a file sharing site in two parts. The label later uploaded the entire album, each song in a different video, the day of the album release, if that's what you're remembering.

This. The upload dates of the songs on YouTube say the May 18 (that's when they were uploaded) but they were only made viewable on May 23 (release date).
