Chhh.. Nothing is original about Horsefly.. it's such an overrated, oversampled mess. Honey alone needed 5 samples. (even though I bop to it, and we know the song is about ***).

Of course it's a turning point in her career. It was a turning point in her voice and it all went downhill from there. She probably celebrated her divorce with as much alcohol as an Olympic sized pool, thus we know exactly why she sounded like God in her My All performance at SNL, to her overstraining mess of the same song performed at Rosie.

You know what, the only thing I can drag about Honey is that its remixes didn't stray away from the original sound. Not that it's a bad thing since the sample is essential to its iconicness but when you had ABMB, Underneath The Stars remixes done prior then wyd sis

Good thing she redeemed haself with Stay Awhile and later on, If You Should Ever Be Lonely, Pure Imagination, Make It Last which are all WHEW
