I'm going to spend endless days on this I can tell. It's such a step back from my complex stories, legacies and big towns of Sims 2, which is why I never bothered checking it out before, but I regret it because for such a simple life simulator it's full of fun.
I shat myself when that creepy ass music came on at 7pm though.. I don't even know why it did, but it's 2am irl here and I'm too scared to go downstairs after hearing it

Have you been robbed or had a fire yet? The music during that is HORRIFYING
Sims 1 is such a classic though.

-Only 1 World supplied in Base Game
-Cannot edit the public areas (Parks, etc.)
-Invisible rabbit-holes/vanishing Sims
-Hair isn't as realistic as TS3
-Textures are blurry and lack bump mapping
-Buildings can only have 3 floors (plus a foundation and a roof)
-Clothing can not be bought by Sims, in game CAS or unlockables only
-Trams are decor only (not interactive) [Cars may be too, the steam boats almost certainly are]
-No WooHoo Skill
-Lots of so called new features are already in The Sims 3

You'll get tired of it though.
It's becomes a routine, going to work every day, trying to make new friends, their need bars drop way too quickly.
It's cute for a taste but not for a swallow.

Create- A-Sim is probably the only impressive. or "next-level" thing they came up with creating TS4. Seems to me they spent more time on that than actual new gameplay features

What was the point of these easter eggs then? I wouldn't even be surprised if they removed multitasking and the "smarter" routing considering the lack of news about them. It's okay though since we still have the tactile and intuitive CAS.

That you're gonna have to wait gazillion of minutes when loading the world and a dumb screen will show you stupid "tips & tricks" that no one cares about along with boring music. Another screen will pop up once again if you dare to go to a different district than the one you were initially playing and once again if you have the audacity to enter a residential lot or get out of it

At least they get different heights. The only thing distinguishing the Teen/Young Adult/Adult to the Elder life stage is the colour of the hair.

Me. I Am a Sims 4 Guru... The Elusive Gameplay Footage
Hi, guys! My name is Graham Nardone. You probably follow me on Twitter (@SimGuruGraham). This is my sim self, which I created down to the very last lumpy detail in TS4's brand new Create-a-Sim!
I'd like to take this opportunity to address some of your questions and concerns regarding The Sims 4.
I'm not a tech guy, but after consulting with our experienced programmers, I learned that it's actually pretty uncommon for a game that's designed to work on ten year-old computers to be built in 64 bit. We hear your concern, and hope that you will appreciate The Sims 4's many new features, including our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.
There's nothing which prevents the addition of pools and toddlers at a later date. Throughout development, it has been our mission to perfect the many exciting new features of The Sims 4, like our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.
The short loading screens your sims will encounter as they venture out of their homes are meant to optimize game performance and user experience. In The Sims 4, exploring the beautiful new world that launches with base game, Willow Creek, is more fun than ever with the inclusion of 7 distinctive and exciting walk styles, which can be found in our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.

You guys know they're just lazy, right? That's why they don't add height changes, the generic excuse that it breaks animations is false because they can easily adjust them, but they choose not to.

I screamed watching the CAS, where the woman was like "So you're limiting us from creating our own styles" and the guy said "Well there's a lot of styles to chose from"
She threw so much shade, and spoke the truth.

TS1 has that something that I feel none of the sequels ever had, idk what it is though. If there was a mod to fix the sims needs depleting so quickly i'd still be playing.
