I think in terms of sound, in order for her to be as successful as possible, she needs to release two singles before she drops her album; one which capitalises on a sound that is popular in the charts now (either using brass, banjo, folk-inflused) and one that demonstrates her artistic growth whilst still being catchy and unique. So basically she needs one sell-out single that is sure-fire to do well and one that is a bit different but can still be played on the radio and climb the charts (e.g. Last Goodbye).
