Do we know for sure? I hope American Idol went through all the right channels to get it tagged and categorized properly and what not
Well I know performances of songs count (like Bey's DIL performance at the Grammys) so I imagine it would. But I don't know about all the bells & whistles they need to go through to get it to count. I'm nervous.

Yeah. I remember DIL shooting to #2 because of the Grammy performance.
I remember it too, but did it jumped to #2 because people streamed the performance or because they streamed the music video after the performance (if you get what I mean) ?
My defense is always that if they counted all those 30 second YT streams for that stupid ass Harlem Shake phenomenon, they better count this AI performance OF THE ENTIRE SONG.
