This certainly isn't going to make you guys happy. It sounds like a stupid reason for cancelling the tour.

News-Bummer-alert. Unfortunately I have had to cancel the April European 'Lonely Hearts Club' tour.

We have tried everything (and I mean absolutely everything) to make these dates feasible but it has proven to be logistically impossible given the current routing and tour production.

To say I am frustrated and disappointed is an absolute understatement. For whatever reason, this European tour was not meant to be and in hindsight, I probably should have cancelled it instead of postponing it but I just really wanted to make it work.

A blog from me won't make things much better but I feel so sad that I won't get to see you all and this is the only way I have of telling you in a personal(ish) way.

Apologies if I have caused any disruption or inconvenience to anybody's schedule.

All tickets will be refunded.

"logistically impossible" why? it's not like she has a huge stage production that's difficult to transport or something. especially 'cause it's not a problem to bring it over the pond?

"this European tour was not meant to be" seriously? how trite can you sound. she probably meant "I never wanted to do this European tour anyway"

"I probably should have cancelled it instead of postponing" indeed. because that would have saved a lot of the inconvenience she caused and it doesn't matter if she apologizes for it now after all the chaos.

and it's hard to believe she's actually sad about this when she doesn't shut up about how stoked she is about the American tour. obviously the US is all she cares about right now.

Aren't you being a bit harsh? Sometimes things come up. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe her label doesn't have the money right now, or they know HTBAH has no chance without some real promo. It's not like it's being cancelled so her American tour can start early. What do you want from her? A tearful confession about how her career isn't going the way she wants? I'm sure she did all she could.

And what sense would it make to postpone the tour if that would make it harder to do both tours? That isn't sound reasoning at all.

I wish she'd tell us what was going on behind the scenes and be honest for once, maybe then I could understand and not be so disappointed. it's just how this whole thing has been handled, everything sounds so fishy and her diva attitude doesn't help.

the tour had been announced since JULY last year and was postponed TWICE before they decided to eventually cancel it. the first time it was postponed was actually because she toured the US instead, and she didn't inform the fans until we started noticing that newly announced US dates were clashing with already existing Europe dates. then it got post-poned for the second time two months ago, which made people even more angry and disappointed. they should have cancelled the whole thing then already instead of still keeping people's hopes up and having them make arrangements for the new dates if they were gonna cancel anyway.

and so what if her career isn't taking off as planned, is that a valid excuse to ditch the people who are paying to see you and actually helping your career? there were sold out shows on that canceled tour, it's not like no one would have been here for her. touring is promo, too. but they probably only have money for one tour and decided to invest in the US rather than Europe. too bad she's already toured here in a few countries last year, so they probably think that's enough.

if the US is her priority at the moment, that's fine, but she should at least have the guts to tell us.

I kind of agree. I mean it's not like it's a Britney Spears/Lady Gaga/Madonna tour that has a lot of production for the show. I'd understand if the tour didn't sell well but if there's sold out shows it just doesn't make any sense to me.

If they want to focus on promoting, they have a month and a half to do promo. Send her out to the U.S. right now and do all the promo needed. I'm sure there isn't much promo to do and it wouldn't take more than a month to do. This doesn't affect me but I do think it sucks for the European fans.

I'm so ****ing pissed right now, I can't even. I have a history with my faves cancelling their shows in Poland, it really makes you feel like they think of Eastern Europe as the "second class".

Hollywood and Oh No! are a great start. But to me Numb and Teen Idle are her best ones

Yeah, I know, she's been so obsessed with the "American Dream"... But artists like her and Lana have plenty of fans in this area, it would suck for her if she blew it off. Especially since she seems to roll back into her "bitter phase of late 2010".

On the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of the EH concept, so maybe when she actually comes here, it will be with a better material

ugh I'm going to see her for the 3rd time in May when she comes to Detroit and I feel bad that's really ****** that she cancelled the European tour and is coming to the US for the 3rd time (although, the US is pretty big, and many of the places she is going this time are cities she's never been anywhere near before).

I don't exactly understand what happened with the European tour though... I thought she already went to Europe with Electra heart... That's where she was doing Lonely Hearts Club as the into (she stopped doing it in America :/ ) I'm guessing that was a different part of Europe though?

I'm still waiting for my first concert, have been for four years.. maybe one day

yes, she has toured Europe with the LHC Tour last year, but that was mainly the UK & Ireland and a handful of shows in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. those 4/5 countries are not very representative of Europe, and the rest of the tour would have seen her cover more countries and also visit parts of the continent that often get overlooked like Scandinavia, Russia, Eastern Europe.

and my personal problem is that I'm from Germany, where she usually tours, but she only ever comes to the four biggest cities and they are all too far away from where I live. so I was planning on going to her concert in one of our neighboring countries which is closer for me, and that one was now cancelled.
