Eh, why does this come off so crude though? Like YES, she had an era based off of her gay fans. And? Y'all sit up here all day and pine for the love of the straights, but can't even love yourselves. That's what's so sad.
Like yeah, there were some very cringy moments during the BTW era, but it was massive. She literally took a moment that could have skyrocketed her career even further had she not went for the philanthropic route, but she chose that instead of being your average pop star. I don't think it's fair to take your awareness about yourself and pretend that there aren't others in need just because you are fine with yourself.
but it was funny, and a real testament to her power at the time. She was indeed inescapable.
