So, I've just finished episode six of "Orphan Black." Uh... the show is kind of cool, but also kind of stupid. I definitely liked "Dollhouse" better. The characters in "Orphan Black" literally have no built-in logic, which is an indication of bad writing.
For instance, if you fake your own death...
how about not visiting your brother's apartment once a day? Are you a moron? You're dead. Why are you constantly visiting your relative's place, in broad daylight, no less. Her foster brother is also really stereotypical and obnoxious, not to mention the obsessive and unbelievable Vic character. As a viewer, we're supposed to believe he's so in love with the main character, yet we have never seen them together intimately. They must have had some mad, passionate "The Notebook" style romance... that we've never witnessed (nor do we ever want to witness, because no one really cares). The show has got a lot of problems and has definitely been overhyped, to say the least. That being said, Tatiana Maslany deserves recognition for her work portraying different characters (with the exception of 'Soccer Bitch,' which Maslany usually tends to overplay). Kworb, Duca -- you both kind of oversold the series a lil' bit, aye.
