Anyway I think Katy is a good songwriter. Not exceptional, but she's capable of writing good, direct songs that don't come off as pretentious at all. Look at those songwriters who try to be weird and innovative but instead only come off as ridiculous and flop so hard that they have to stop making music in order to be taken into consideration. Katy stays fine, she learns from the others' mistakes, and she ain't pulling no Beyoncé.
