Um there's no point in listing the competition for Grammys as reason for when she should release.

There's almost a zero percent chance of her winning a Grammy for her album against either Adele or Taylor. The only chance she has at a Grammy is with a song, be it SOTY, ROTY, Best Pop Solo or Best Rap-Sung Collaboration, the most likely being the latter if she releases another E.T./Dark Horse type song with a rap. "Hello" will almost certainly swipe SOTY, ROTY and Best Pop Solo too.

Which makes it even more obvious that a California Gurls 2.0 summer single with rapper HAS to happen in May.

John Mayer is an ass but he's hot and probably has the good D. Two positives, one negative. I don't blame Katy.

At least he looks like he showers and never told her it's over via text.

I'd rather have a featured vocalist than a rapper. Her rap collabs haven't been strong aside from the OG, Califorgotten Gurls.

Why the hell would we want a California Gurls 2.0 when we could have a Dark Horse 2.0?

She needs something sexy and somewhat mature, but still light enough for people to bop to in the summer.

The solo categories are basically written out this coming Grammy cycle though because of Adele.

I honestly don't care about Grammys, the kind of music I like isn't Grammy worthy (whatever that means) and I'm fine with that. I'd rather her do what she likes than pander to the Grammys.

I'm just trying to keep it real because discussing which side of October Katy should release KP4 with Grammys in mind is literally pointless when she has no shot either way.

Oh, that's for sure. If she doesn't release in May or June I'm gonna be pressed.

By the way, I definitely don't want Katy pandering to the Grammys or anything like that. I just think it would be nice for her to have one under her belt. She deserves it!
