Mess, I just realized that "Stay With Me" is literally my theme set to music.
How did I pick Latch instead?
Why did I not think of Stay With Me even once?
Why did I do this to myself?


I bet this wouldn't have happened if there was a one night stand in my past.

I feel kinda bad trying to make an overall rank because a lot of serious personal details and experiences came up this week, and I don't want to act like some are better/worse, more/less serious/important.

Let's just leave at this. My favorites are probably Buddy (even with the most basic formatting I've ever seen), T-Swizz, Superpower, and Funky.

My bottom two would have to be Era and Conatus.

Bomb: you really managed to pick songs that I can imagine I would listen to and reflect on and relate to if I'd been the one to grow up in Vegas. Mad props for not picking any song with "Vegas" in the title. Ending with "Devil's Don't Fly" is an excellent choice.


Buddy: This is a SOLID entry. I feel it all. Flags + Glory are particularly resonating choices. A mess at a new HQ of TIHTY leaking just hours after the entries were revealed though. side note: I recognize White Flag's chorus, never knew what song it was though.


Conatus: it might just be because I listened to yours last, but this is the one I'm feeling least. Bravo for keeping up your "con–" theme! But the only fear I felt from this entry came when that Patrick Wolf guy started singing.


Era: picture perfect is a great theme name for you, and a few of these songs certainly fit the "pop perfection" label ATRL likes to throw around. I'd have liked to see something more personal, though.


Funky: A total 180 from your reality show schtick, but totally in keeping with your "candid" brand. The Lil Kim song feels really out of place with the others, but your paragraph explains its inclusion. BUT WAIT. Were you the member a few years ago with the blog about the Disney College Program??? Cause I was living for it.


Jezang: Gotta be honest, I totally zoned out and didn't focus on the lyrics at all, so I hope they weren't too important. I see the connection between the songs, though, and I feel like the playlist works really well with your persona + username. It's a totally chill set of songs. I hope that's what you were going for, because that's what I got.


lovesong: theming your entry around self-titled albums was a really interesting, creative, unique path to go down. Your written bit did a nice job explaining why you did it this way, and I think it works well. I feel like you could've made this a bit more personal, though.

And WHERE is the Lord? You're the reason for the teardrops on my guitar.


Sam: Love the theme, and the a cappella track is a standout kind of inclusion. "I have a love and passion for songwriting which nobody in my personal life knows about because I'm constantly putting up walls to protect myself from the possibility of rejection or failure, which are two of my greatest fears." Story of my liiiiiiiiife.


Subomie: the songs' lyrics do all seem to revolve around growth, but I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed. I feel like a two sentence explanation could've tied this all together nicely. This GA song is really good, though! I've never heard any of their stuff before.


Superpower: Great job tying in your brand, but applying "open-minded" to this collection of songs is more than a stretch, it's a reach of near-epic proportions; all 5 are top 10 hits (2 went #1), 2 were nominated for Grammys, and another 2 won Grammys, and 4 of the 5 sit pretty comfortably within the realm of R&B/hip-hop. So you're open-minded enough to listen to acclaimed R&B smash hits? What? Bonus points for my fave Whitney song, minus points because it feels like a workout playlist. But oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. KYLIE COVERED THIS CELEBRATION SONG


Swizz: a really interesting theme. you chose interesting songs and placed them in an order that tells a full story. I think this is the most creative entry this week, and that's supposed to be lovesong's thing. It's very well put together. I feel like it's a total contrast to your "ruthless" brand, and I don't know if that helps or hurts you, or if it even matters.

The lyrics are very important I suggest you listen to the last two especially since you have depression cause they are very uplifting songs. I didn't include an explanation cause I believe the music can and will speak for itself, but everything I've chosen and their order was deliberate.

Who else picked a Kygo song? I saw the 2 Disclosure songs (You & Me and Latch), very nice.

You don't have to do anything, I gave you a suggestion based on what you said. The lyrics are important but if you don't like the song then that's fine. The critics opinion doesn't really have anything to do with it but okay.
