I am no bandwagoner and i am definetily not a DC stan... Actually i am not fond of super heroes movies except x-men who i adore!! there are one of my favorite franchises and i own all the DVD.... the movie was ok for an xman stan! i mean i would watch anything xman related! BUT critically speaking it was bad! and as far as enjoyment goes i really fanboyed only during psylocke fight!

now grow up and respect the fact that people might not like what u like...

BTW the makeup was cheap! like nightcrawler's, mystique and beast Blue was so unrealistic!! when in the previous installments it was great!

Best X-men movie so far but Lord, Apocaplypse was watered down. Expected his name to be literal like the comics, the nukes rising(as seen in the ads,so not a spoiler) was the only thing that came close to portraying apocalypses powers, mmmmm.... but again ( it literally assured us of Xavier as an omega mutant and what his really capable of) so did Apocalypse have any powers apart from multiplying mutants powers as seen in the movie ,they stripped away the comic apocalypse, that was crude
Jean grey was epic in the last bit but overall a boredom so that mystic could come out on top, they need to make a Jean grey movie on her own.(no shade but mystic should never have been the highlight) Equally storm, no words(a mess at her power, as its always been throught the franchise but at-least magneto was given justice at-last but seriously,marvel needs to negotiate with Fox for storm to be featured in the black panther movie, like they did with spider man, maybe her power would be given its justice as she has ever embodied eternity,like the phoenix for Jean grey)
The movie was super entertaining, not cringy or annoying but pure fun and epic overall, as its pace was fast and so never gave you time to notice the errors, very clever. But as many have said the Egyptian beginning deserves an Oscar it was perfect.

N ch. not storm being a weak by stander hiding in the wings during the most essential moments. And what the hell was that accent. I thought it couldn't get worse than Halle but Alexandra proved I was wrong. Pls ban her from all things xmen. And what the hell was that accent.

It was full of clichés and the screenplay was a mess. Some monologes felt forced and stupid, at some parts I just bursted out laughing. Half of the cinema was checking their phones in the last hour.

On the positive side, when Jane unleashed her power DAMN. I got chills everywhere. It was SO DOPE.

i mean based on the ending it looks like they are going into the 90s and exploring Sophie Turner's character more, but isn't this Jennifer's last film? Mystique's finale is really dumb then.

Are they going to recast her since she's part of the school now? Since its Jen's last film would have been better to make Mystique go into hiding/on the run and phase her out of the next trilogy

I think she won't be back after the mixed reviews the movie received. Also even if she comes back she will probably be back as 90% JLaw and 10% Mystique like in Apocalypse. She shouldn't come back if she can't sit through the make-up process.

Rebecca was perfect casting. And honestly JLaw looked fine in First Class, too. But after her career blew up she started not taking it very seriously, I guess. She totally phoned it in in Apocalypse.



Her make up was even worse in Apoc. Her eyes weren't even fully yellow in some scenes.

One more thing - there was no consistency at all in Apocalypse's powers. I came out of the movie unable to understand what his powers were. There were no stakes and I didn't fear him. He does something at one point and then later on you wonder wdf he didn't use it again.

Another poorly executed villain. Such a pity because Apocalypse is great in the comics.

For what I understood he was able to control the matter and multiply power of other mutants and that's it when we all know that he has shitload of powers yet they made it weak.
