The ranking seems pretty straight forward to me, I'm interested to see if the judges agree.

Just sent my rankings.
There was an obvious 1st, an intriguing 2nd, a sadly familiar 3rd, a big gap, and then 4th.

I'll probably update with the judges comments in a few (2 to 3) hours and save the elimination until when I get home.
Basically it's the last day of classes so some classes are optional, some are half the time. I'll basically have a break from maybe about 10 AM to 1 PM (when my third class starts). However, I have some things to do prior so that has to be factored in.

EPISODE 10: ATRL'S NEXT BIG EVENT
THE COMMENTS

-The fact that the title, "Mixtape Magic," is AWFULLY close to my own "Mixtape Memories."
-The OP is rather long and feels text heavy but I think that comes with the territory of being a new type of event/thread. If this event becomes popular like the March Madness and the Secret Santa threads, ATRLers are more willing to participate and read longer OPs. It just depends on how fun the actual event/thread is and I think this has potential.
-As long as the OP already was, I felt like a little pictorial break in between the paragraphs would have been pleasant and made the text less burdensome to read. I almost didn't want to read the entries cuz I was turned off by the length of the very first entry.
-How would this game work for more private members like Addicted and boyonce? Some don't even have Last.FM or any other sort of social media linked to their profiles for members to stalk.
-It bothers me that the font under the Do's/Dont's is not italicized when your entire entry is; the lack of italicization doesn't look good, nor does it make a statement. It just seems to come off as a mistake.
Likes:
-The vintage aura to your banner and the rest of your entry lent to a childlike nostalgia that I loved.
-The details for the rules were beyond meticulous. You covered just about every question possible and I felt like I was informed enough to get started without anymore direction.
-The collapse tags were used well. At this point in the game, everyone has been wearing its usage to death and I have gotten quite tired of seeing it but you used it in the most useful and economical way possible.
Overall:
Solid event that could happen and I'm trying to think when this event could take place. I think you could totally incorporate this event with the annual "Best of..." countdowns, maybe after the countdowns are over so you can see what sort of music your partner listed and work out a mixtape from there. This event could then work for members who have private profiles.

Beautiful banner. Like Kitt, you also have a certain aestetic that's very identifiable as YOU, which is great. The post is also formatted exquisitely. Very well thought out in that regard. I really like this thread idea and I think you could find enough people interested in it. It sort of reminds me of Secret Santa.

Honestly, I could barely get through reading your whole entry. The reason? I was TOO excited and wanted to take part! It's so great, and taps into what ATRL is all about - the music! You've always been someone who stans for some "outside of the box" music and bands, so the idea of sharing a mix tape with others is so you. I love discovering music, and would love to see this event actually happen. Aside from having what I find the most exciting idea of the week, your formatting is also flawless and polished. As always, you've put time and effort into this and it shows. I love that you always want to come across as put together. I also appreciate your respect for the ATRL rules by listing what's not allowed. I adore this whole event idea and think it would be so much fun to take part in. Really really really great one.

- The whole mixtape idea is great for ATRL since this is primarily a music forum.
- It is a great idea for members to meet new people, get to know new music, and bond over one common goal; music.
The Bad:
- It’s a lot of wording. It doesn’t seem like much, but this is ATRL, if they see a lot of words you are going to be spammed with a bunch of ‘Ain’t nobody got time for that’ gifs.
- You put a maximum sign up list, which is ALWAYS bad for an event. If you want to host an event, you want as many members to sign up as you can and turn no one away. If it becomes overwhelming, have a co-host with the event to help you out with the submissions. For example, Secret Santa, Patrick did it all by himself the first time and the recruited Katie to help the other time around.
- It’s one of those events that could totally do well, or totally tank and have no future of a second go around.

-Can't decide if the banner is endearing or sloppily tacky.
-"read this" at the end of your first sentence is very misleading. It looks like a link but I was deceived.
-The verbiage of the rules is slightly confusing. Are you saying that each post will have a hard and an easy hint that both leads to the post or are you saying every post that you make will have two hints that will lead to two different posts that you have "hidden."
-I hate the pictures of the Martha Stewart style decorated eggs. I would have preferred a personal touch to the pictures instead of a Googled image of Easter eggs. I also would have liked to see subtle placement of easter eggs around your entry to already show what you meant by "I have edited a numerous amount of my posts around ATRL with pictures of Easter eggs put into place."
-Why is "Sign-Ups" on two different lines. Formatting was one of your strong suites but I'm just seeing silly mistakes.
-You say you've already edited a "numerous amount" of posts around ATRL; what's to stop the members from bookmarking your posts for future reference if the ones they come across aren't the correct answers to your hints?
Likes:
-It's a cute idea planned out into a compact and easy-to-read entry.
-The pastel color scheme was nice but some colors were a little difficult to see.
Overall:
I don't see how this could be ATRL's next big event. It seems more like an addictinggames.com staple than anything. It might interest a couple members, mostly newcomers, irrelevants and members that frequent the Games section, but other than that, I see this having neither the longevity nor the appeal to attract the whole of ATRL. This would obviously take place around Easter but other than that, this "event" doesn't hold any more interest than one of the "rate the avi" or "rate the member" threads.

I LOVE this idea. The banner could be better, but it's not bad, and I love the idea so much that I don't even care. It would be even better if you expanded it so that you had a couple of members who had the possibility of having an egg in their post, just so that it's harder, instead of members just going through your post history. But I really love this idea and I think it needs to happen next Easter. Also, fantastic formatting, very creative and it looks very nice.

On the surface, the idea of an easter egg hunt leading all around ATRL seems really fun, but I'm going to give you the same note I gave on your entry last week - I don't feel like this idea is fully formed just yet, and maybe it needs a bit more developing and thought put into it. For example, I'd love to know more about what the hints would be. Also, without a functioning search option (a reality of ATRL at the moment) how exactly would we go about finding the eggs? The formatting and egg pictures gave it a nice look, but yet again I'm left feeling like your entry needs a bit more thought and developing to make it fully formed.

- A scavenger hunt is always fun.
- It’s something that can be looked forward to every Easter.
The Bad:
- No prize? If there is not a prize at the end of it people will lose interest and not keep it going.
- This reminds me of an ABEL-o-Matic challenge. Which that right there kind of rubs me the wrong way. The whole hints and having to search, ranking up points.
- The hunt will last for an entire week? Oh child… this game won’t last.

-Your grammar is still horrendous. The comma splices, the run-ons, etc. At this point in the game, basic proof-reading over your entries should be a given.
-It annoys me that this event would be biannual; the anticipation for this event is already cut in half.
-The rules aren't very clear to me. What must a pledge do in order to get a bid; how is he supposed to get noticed? PMs? Wall posts? Challenges?
-I get that this is supposed to look like an official rush week flyer but I can't shake the feeling that some sort of design/image is missing. The event handout seems a little sparse.
-The "hazing" part turned me off. I know you said that hazing within each house isn't required but even the option of it doesn't build the sense of community that ATRL strives to create and maintain.
Likes:
-The varsity font banner with the Greek styled headlines was a nice touch.
-The example houses under your collapse tag was a good touch. Shows the contestants what they are getting themselves involved with better than everything above the collapse tag.
Overall:
As much as this seems like a decent idea, I don't ever see this happening. Not only are there certain holes in the foundation of this event, the idea itself is extremely reductive. You are basically recreating what "Teh Clique" and the numerous blogs have already created and sustained and to a larger degree, you are describing what a "Base" is minus the focus on a specific artist. Also, instead of integrating new members into the rest of ATRL, you are trying to segregate them by making them choose to join a specific house; this already happens organically based on what sort of music and artists you stan for. Yes, you want to make friends and discuss certain topics, but that is what all the different types of threads around ATRL is for; the threads offer you a wider audience instead of just your private frat/sorority members. If you want to discuss certain things with specific members, just PM or message them.

Honestly, this is an AWESOME, AWESOME idea. It could definitely be a big thing if it worked out. Sounds like a great way to meet members and form a community. It's also very creative! Good job

I'm really on the fence with this one. On one hand, I think it could be a LOT of fun! However, part of me thinks that despite your claim that it will make people feel more included, I do think it may actually cause people to feel left out. It could also unfortunately cause these groups to become more cliquey and competitive than they already are. That being said, I still kind of want to see this event go down - in the back of my mind I can't stop thinking that it could be a lot of fun. Like with Anna's, I really appreciate your thought and consideration to ATRL's rules by listing what not to do. A responsible member is a top member! When I expanded to see the "houses" I expected groups like The Clique, The Irrelevants, The 20+ers, etc. but your examples surprised me and had me laughing. This is one of your better formatted entries, so good on you for that. I can't say I love the idea, can't say I hate it, but I can say that I'm intrigued and want to see more!

- I could see people getting into this…
The Bad:
- [Continued from the last point of the good]… however, I can see people taking this way too far and doing EXACTLY what the rules say not to do.
- What’s this talk about Mod’s having to say who will become leader if one becomes inactive? This is an event for members; we Mod’s will be a part but not one to rule. If the purpose is to have a mod be a stable part in this, then why is this even an idea? We already have quote on quote clubs, Irrelevants United, Teh Clique, The Ebonies, the clubs in the blogs section. For this kind of idea, it just needed a better plan.
- So you use three out of the six judges this season as examples, but left out three. One including the host, the one who types “Congratulations…”

-Thoughtful banner. You managed to create a design that fit your topic while incorporating your brand colors.
-To the point, easy to understand and a clean layout.
Overall:
This is basically a less inclusive Secret Santa. I say less inclusive because unlike Secret Santa, the people who will be participating will be much more limited and not everyone will get a secret admirer. This could go one of three way, first being the correct way, the way you envisioned the event playing out. The second way being only a couple members getting a boatload of secret admirers, many based purely on physical attraction from PYP/PMs and the majority of ATRLers getting the Gretchen Weiner treatment. The third way I see this playing out is with a plethora of trolls. Knowing who ATRL is comprised of and what ATRL is capable of, I wouldn't put it past a good amount of troll secret admirers where their admiration is based on malicious intent and thus breaking down what ATRL ultimately stands for. I wouldn't necessarily say that this event is unachievable but it seems like a disposable-spin off to me; it's the "Joey" to "Friends." Maybe it's cuz Secret Santa is around prime time holiday season where three huge holidays are celebrated but something about Secret Admirer just seems lackluster and I don't see it taking off as a big annual event.

It's not as out-of-the-box creative as some of the other entries, but it could definitely be a popular thread on here. Good job.

First, the good: gorgeous, gorgeous formatting. From the "fake links" to the banner, your attention to detail is always second to none. However, let's not kid ourselves - the event is basically Secret Santa in February. Only difference being you get to select your target instead of one being assigned to you. It could be fun and silly, but would only really cater to the posters that are already well known by others. I would have preferred something that allows for all members (even lesser known and newer ones) to take part and feel part of the crowd. It would really only be a select few group of known posters that people would crush on, so I'm not sure it would be fully inclusive and bring the whole community together.

- Very much like Secret Santa. Yes it’s different, yes it’s at a different time of the year, but at this point I was hoping for something more creative. Something more revolutionary. This was more like a copy and paste.
- This just may be me overreacting, but I can see some members taking it WAY too far.
- I need a third bullet point, but this needs to be resaid. It’s much like Secret Santa, but a different theme and at a different time of the year. I was hoping for something different that would get me excited to be a part of.

Now that you have met with the judges, when we return only 3 of you will be moving on to becoming ATRL's Next Top Member!
