Compared to only girl, to me, the vocals are flat. They have no depth. On top of that calvin's production over shadows rihanna, on only girl rihanna's vocals were sharp and powerful, which coincided with the beat well. Rihanna may sound "content" to you, but to me, that content translates into lifelessness. Her vocals on this do not excite me, and that's mainly what happens with hr songs for me. This lacks something.

She’s a well-established artist now. she and Def Jam are more concerned with #1 singles and record sales than actual artistry. Rated R was the album she actually took a risk on, and I wish she would go back to that and explore it more

Oh wow I totally agree. I feel like the song is unfinished almost. She should add more harmonies, etc.
