If this era is a duplicate of the Loud era, I'll love the album but I will be slightly disappointed. Luckily, I pretty much have a good feeling that it won't happen due to her tweets. I don't want everything to be done exactly the same. Maybe they don't need to release a second single before the album. While I would happily listen to a new song no matter when it's released, they should wait until the album release at this point. We only have another month to wait. The OG/WMN? release was perfect & maximized first week potential, it did make the era go by crazy fast. By 2-3 months after release, the 3rd single was being prepared. It was a cleverly planned manuever for Loud but change is good.
The album should be put up for pre-order On October 31st. But the song available for pre-order should be a ballad.

WFL is #3 on iTunes, the first time for a long ass time if I'm correct. I think if she promotes it at all or if the music video gets buzz quickly, the song could reach #1 on iTunes. I like how this song has been doing.

I'm starting to think it was a blessing in disguise that WFL never hit #1 on iTunes.
NOT releasing a second single before the album drops would be suicide! She needs to create all the buzz possible for the release date of the album seeing as Def Jam doesn't plan to do any heavy promotion at all. Lets be real, WFL is a great song but it is not a strong enough single to carry her sales here in the U.S. She needs to release an Urban single 1-2 weeks prior to the release of the album and that would give her great momentum heading into black Friday. If not, she's going to lose out on what could quite possibly be a 250-275k first week sales debut. We also have to consider that the generally public has not heard enough about a 'new album' set to be released by Rihanna. Many people still think WFL is an extension of LOUD so she needs the blog site and media outlets to carry the message and spread the word for her. If she releases a second single prior to the album release, the media will give the single and the new album the exposure that it needs.
