Yeah Shake It Off was trash but she redeemed herself with Out Of The Woods.
She may be the most basic of white girls but she does have a handful of good songs. Although she doesn't have an album as great as Can't Take Me Home so the Pr!ncess comparison doesn't work!

Her writing gives me A Level English Lit student teas. Like someone who reads too much Stephanie Meyer and Sylvia Plath.
A handful will not redeem her. Katy is trash but her songs are at least solid formula pop songs and she is aware of her inadequacies.
And true.. Though both reverted from a genre they shone in to more mainstream pop and still try to maintain credibility.
