No it's not. It brands Mystique in First Class as "ballsy", which is utter BS. Enough said.

The amount of bull to be read in these reviews is staggering. Really is a shame this good movie is getting such a mixed reception.

Compared to DOFP this is a massive disappointment.

If BvS deserves a sub-30 score (and it does), a 51% here is already generous.

Right? I mean i wouldn't call it a bad movie it was entertaining for the most part, but i can see why it's getting called mediocre (even the cgi wasn't on point at times and i don't get why since it had such massive budget), they got lazy with the plot and it fell very flat at the end, and so many characters were done wrong

This movie is SO messy. It was entertaining but it lacks good dialogues, that's what I missed the most. The dialogues and character development have been dumbed down so much compared to First Class and DOFP.

Anyway it feels rushed, a feeling I couldn't shake out troughout the movie. It should've been a 2 part movie, the story and the origin of all these iconic characters had a lot of potential.

Jean goes off, Apocalypse says"oh my me, that's so cool", gets impaled by a bunch of pipes then what? Does she explode him ie The Last Stand? Honestly completely forgot if he dies or what.

This was a collection of amazing scenes, but I didn't like it as a movie for some reason. Might just be because I went in expecting the worst and didn't let myself be absorbed into the story. Quicksilver was, obviously, flawless though. Ancient Egypt was absolutely amazing, great opening titles too.

I think my main issues were with the CGI and some of the scripting. Some scenes, especially between Jean and Scott were so lazy. My friend loved it though- I think I was just expecting too much from it.
I'm dying to see it again though, which is good! Still not over the opening scene- really fantastic!

I've just rewatched closely that scene and he said "All is revealed", then turns into dust

The editing during Apocalypse's death was messy as hell. Huge lack of clarity, a fuzzy fest.

I wish the movie explored Jean/Cyclops more (each apart and together), the actors were great and fitted perfectly. They didn't delve into Mystique enough too, the trailer made it look like we would explore her character again but everything she did in the movie was in the trailer That's when I realized that the focus on her psychology really elevated First Class and DOFP.
The only character they kinda did justice was Magneto, and thank god for the flashbacks, it added depth.

And I'm sorry but Jubilee wasn't in the movie, I refuse They just hired an extra to play a student and it was coincidence that she looked like her.

Reviews are purely subjective. Some people love Sophie's acting other's trashed it and same with other aspects of the film etc. All opinions, there is no real formula when it comes to reviewing films. All BS.

Just go see it and enjoy it for what it is. Reviews literally mean nothing and only for people who think their opinion is superior.

I am upset about Jubilee tho. However she'll be back, I hope, since she is in the new marketing video and doing promo with the rest of the cast.
