Even the people who expected him to leave weren't thinking "March, in between two concert dates 3 days apart".
It's messy, but we still don't know **** unfortunately.

That's true, but what I am surprised about is that people are acting like they didn't expect Zayn to touch the music he had been working on, after he left the group. It's just a messy situation but I really don't think that Zayn has this "**** it, I'm going solo" attitude that everyone else has painted for him.

And like I said before if zayn needed to take a step back to recover from being a slave to 1D management that is perfectly fine, but if he is planning to go solo all in the same year of course that is going to rub people the wrong way because that is not a break no matter how you spin it. I'm very aware that zayn has been in the studio for a while now. How he left was messy plain and simple, but I wish him the best regardless.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mum.
I just think we have to keep in mind he has the same management team as 1D, and so it's highly likely they're going to be pushing Zayn to release something by x date. It's more of a break than he was ever going to be getting in the group, though, so it still seems like the better option for him.
I do agree that this situation is really messy, but there's so many factors to consider and we don't even have the full picture yet.
