If the single choices were up to me, I think I'd do the following:
Country:
1. Good Girl
2. Blown Away
3. Two Black Cadillacs
4. Do You Think About Me
5. Leave Love Alone
Pop:
1. Blown Away
2. See You Again
3. Who Are You
This album could have had the crossover appeal and success of Come On Over if they altered their promotion.

Taylor IS NOT a country artist and she's had no crossover success. Crossover success would mean that she saw success on both country and pop, but WANEGBT and BA both flopped completely. There's not reason for her to be the #1 country artist.
Carrie has had two number one singles, a single from last year that got more airplay then Taylor's singles, the best selling country album of the year and recieved acclaim for all the major reputable country sites.
Carrie has had it all year this, country single, album, commercial and critical success. Taylors album sold well, but her singles did terrible on the charts this year (Asides from Ours) and didn't even get a top ten single on country.
Carrie >>> Taylor in the country field this year.

Fine, let's not call her latest pop hits as crossover, you're right. Thing is, i see her as a country artist that has been doing country pop and lately going mainstream experimenting with her sound and recording with Max Martin etc.
BA may be climbing slowly, still, it's not done yet imo and could very well go top 10. Anyway Billboard when listing the 10 artists takes into consideration a lot of things like albums and singles sales, and Taylor's stats just blew Carrie's away.

Of course I'm pissed that the concert is sold out, my mom told me I could buy tickets after school..
Sorry but I still regard Carrie as the country artist of the year, well the female country artist of the year. I'm sorry but I don't consider a pop tart who took a step back from Speak Now, which I listened to a lot, and has more success on the pop charts a country artist.
Obviously WANEGBT and IKYWT would out sell Carrie, they were both bought by pop audiences where singles sell a lot better than the average country artist.
At least the important critics, like The Boot, agree that it was Carries year this year.

I'm just getting beyond pissed off. Carrie Underwood works so hard to stay true to her country roots, is one of the only entertainers at the moment who's like to finish her career off as a country icon, has had countless success, GROWN WITH EACH ERA, and gets paid absolutely dust for all this. Honestly, I just feel like Carrie deserves more especially if it weren't for her the other country blondes wouldn't be seeing as much success as they do now, hell if was Carrie who opened the doors for new female country artists to get played often. Billboard dissappointed me once this year, and this time it just proves how illogical and desperate they are to catering their teenager fanbase instead of being fair and compiling proper statistics and categorizing artist accordingly.

Oh c'mon, could you listen to me for JUST ONE TIME?
Let it go. Billboard doesn't worth it. Who the **** cares about Billboard anymore?

Carrie is always going to be your country artist of the year. Even in the years between albums.
