JT did the same like Missy and look at him now. People would be so excited if they would hear an Usher + Missy announcement or if both would surprise everyone with a song. It's not always about who is hot in the scene... just look at the Chris Brown & Nicki collabo or Mario & Nicki collabo which wasn't even a hit and Nicki is/was hot in the scene.

Usher isn't a type of artist who needs to collab with people who are currently hot in the scene. That's the difference between Usher and some artists.

They made big announcements with Timbaland back in 2013 so it could happen this year but I'm not sure

I've a feeling like that he'll collab with Mariah Carey 100% because of JD etc. He could also collab soon with Shakira, Rihanna or Beyonce

But the problem Is that I don't really trust the urban audience like that anymore, of course they would get excited when they hear about Missy, but will they buy? I want Usher to make a great comeback not a trial and error one.

The urban audience is waiting for things like that since 2010/11 so I think they would buy it if the song/quality fits perfect. The good thing for Usher is that R&B is back in the mainstream scene again or better said is coming this year 100% so everything could happen
