And I stan for her because she is the best performer of her time. Because she actually makes music that doesn't cater to whatever is hot, because she doesn't change her style/hair/sound every 12 months to stay relevant. Because she can go on stage with no one but her band and slay me to pieces flawlessly every time. I've literally never seen a horrible Beyonce performance. No one else has that accomplishment. The fact that you think her management is sneaky doesn't take away from the reason I like her - the actual talent. Aside from it being your theory, its possible to say that every pop girl has underhanded tricks to get her ahead. Not to mention that most people have features, especially people from 2003, and that none of her features overshadowed her on the songs. As if people said "I need to buy DIL because I heard that she has some good features.

The fans of the 8 people who featured probably helped a lot with the album. Jay-Z opens with 1 million plus annually, I think having him on the album def helped along with the 7 others. Not to mention having Sean Paul who'd already had like 2 number 1's that year.
Beyonce ofc follows trends. Every song she's made is either a woman empowerment or CIL continuation because she knows thats whats been successful for her. Not to mention making B'Day as the unofficial followup soundtrack to Dreamgirls. Beyonce only makes something that she knows is safe, familiar and low risk.
