Toxic is her signature across the board song. There's no denying it.

Really? Didn't we see a bunch of Britney doing that already? Don't we want to see something that comes from her heart?"

I TOLD Y'ALL this era is going to be about TAKING CONTROL. Not being in control but getting there.
YOU ALL WILL BOW DOWN when I am right. You will pay homage. You will respect what I said earlier this year.
I knew this was going to happen. I knew Will i am wasn't going to be bad for her.
AS I STATED Femme fatale WAS a wake up call. While it shipped platinum, they thought the tour would gross over 100M. They know that in order for a 30 something pop star to continue a career growth and development is necessary.
Luckily for Britney she has so many avenues to go. She hasn't hit her peak creatively. That's always been her strength while she is always putting out good pop music she hasn't delivered the type of music impossible for her to top.
She is the epitome of effortlessly shifting her music to reflect the sign of times and start trends at the right time and follow trends at the right time. You can't do all of one or another.
Let me recap this for you:
Pay homage and respect it.

THE GOOD YEARS
1) Baby one more time-(
Teen pop/Bubble gum pop) girl next door image being youthful, effervescent playful teen innocence and the spirit of being young and having fun.
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
BOMT, Crazy, Sometimes/
Born to make you happy
2) Oops...I did it again-(
Cheezy/faux edge overproduced pop) good girl with a wink (trend: The overproduced vocals that Cher made popular in a flash with 'Believe' Britney brought it to a teen audience and put out multiple songs instead of one and is credited and often discredited for that trend when some artist not as talented (t pain) and some more talented (chris brown/usher) and others started using the overproduced vocals in the mid 00s.
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
Oops (if like 2000 satisfaction/oops mashup)..., lucky (not performed but in between when she changes costumes like the interlude of Break the ice on the circus tour and showing how she was on top of the world,
Stronger
THE SHIFT
3) Britney-(
urban pop/teen angst crossroads) Coming of age transition phase from girl to woman (trend: Slave for you was a game changer song and video wise before them other girls were adding urban producers and features Slave for you was the perfect blend of urban pop without being trihard as was Boys until they ruined it with the video game beat remix.
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
Overprotected, Slave, Not a girl
STEPPING OUT INTO YOUNG ADULTHOOD
4) In the zone-(
underground dance/vibey trancey and electro pop) her college party girl experimental phase Her free spirit, college, experimental image: Phase where she starts to deal with real experiences and real emotions/pain (MY FAVE because I was a sophomore in college and this was like everything to me) (trend: underground dance pop: Trend: When everyone was a pop artist featuring a rapper and the radio was dominated by urban music, she took the dance route. Billboard dedicated an article for 'Toxic' and 'Hey Ya' from outkast being game changers
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
Toxic, Me against the music, Everytime I wouldn't mind her performing Breathe on me, Brave new girl (not performed but change in costumes where video showing the shift in her public image) and touch of my hand too.
NOT SO GOOD, PITFALL/DOWNFALL YEARS
4-5) Greatest hits-MP:
(electronic pop leftover) Her burnt out, rebellious image where she made declarative stateements with
'My prerogative' (not performed mashup between breaks showing the change and fall from grace)) and 'Do somethin'
OUT OF CONTROL YEARS
5) Blackout-
(european, dark, edgy dance pop) Her dark, out of control, girl gone wild post-rebellious/self destruction image
Trend: after urban pop artists like Justin, Beyonce Fergie and Nelly were big with urban pop sound, Britney bought it back to dance pop. Songs like Freakshow with elements of dubstep, Piece of me innovative sounds and the album as a whole
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
piece of me, gimme more Extras: including Get naked and freakshow in there (with STRONGER dubstep breakdowns) Use Freakshow for costume change and show the coverage of the complete meltdown and the craziness.
THE COMEBACK YEAR
6) Circus- (conglomerate of her strengths/anthem pop) the comeback lessons learned from a jaded woman - Her comeback phase where it was really a compilation of her strongest themes from albums 1-5. Trend: Before single ladies and other female anthems as well as katy perry, lady gaga pop splashes...she brought back the pop anthems
Songs geared mainly towards this image:
Circus, IUSA,
Womanizer, Extra: Not to perform but either use kill the lights or out from under preferably the latter documenting the comeback that put her back to the good graces.
6-7 The Singles collection- Another GH album but 3 had rave, dance influences bringing back the 90s sound that artist having been using for the past 2 years. Song geared:
3 and Radar LOL.
THE HERE TO STAY YEAR
7) Femme fatale
(dubstep/modern, club dance pop) ??? what's the real theme. My problem with FF era is that unlike her other eras it didn't have a strong theme. It was cohesive for what it was. It's a dance record but what does it really represent. The name could have been used more if she had a sultry, seductive mysterious image and songs that were released with that image (i.e. but we got dubstep. She's credited for starting the trend now but outside of that how does her image and the era define Britney Spears a snapshot in time as all her other eras did. Either way...songs geared mainly towards this image:
Till the world ends, Hold it against me, I wanna go (surprisingly the only single that does reflect her life at that moment)
Extra tibdits: S&M remix where she forgot to blow her nose before laying down vocals and Scream and shout where she graciously feature Will.i.am so that he could score his biggest hit ever as a solo artist. Giving the smurfs relevance with ooh la la. She's a giver.

TAKING CONTROL YEAR November/December 2013
8th album era
4-6 songs (singles: 1 ballad, 1 mid tempo and 2-4 uptempo tracks)

He seems to get what fans want, and what Britney really needs now, an this is the man who wrote and produced Ordinary People and Where Is The Love, so he knows heart.
And honestly he had me hook line and sinker at the been there and done that dancefloor attitude!
AND TRAVIS BICKIE NEEDS AN ATRL 5150 HOLD AND GO SHUT THE **** UP!

That's why you have to have faith in Britney. Her team knows that she can't get away with another FF and I think they did FF to get her a constant on radio and because they could.

Considering he can't even make his OWN albums a success, how can he possibly help someone else?

basically im excited not about william but about what he said for the album

girl, bye. Britney is a brand. Indestructible. She tried to fail with Blackout and went platinum with 2 platinum and a gold single. She even tried to fail with releasing 'Radar' after a huge comeback and that still charted. Lastly, she tried to fail with FF and shipped platinum.
She's incapable of failing. She will always go platinum in her studio albums.
Will i am is not a brand and if anyone thinks that BEP became big because of him is silly.
See their success with Fergie. See their success with lisa leslie, praying mantis chick that was not marketable at all. Joints and Jam slays though.

I totally aprove Will.I.am as excecutive producer after what he said:
1) he is listening to her and developed a friendship with her because he wants a real album
2) he said he doesn't want more songs about going to the dance floor, because we've seen that already ........ how can not aprove him after that?
she finally got a friend that is going to help her, and that understood that those songs about clubs have to go.

They don't need to go they just need to be less than a handful on the album. She needs the following:
Blackout innovation - minus out of control dark vibe
In the zone creativity - minus oversexed influences
Ray of light teas, Rhythm nation teas
There will always be a bit of it but not overdone. She will move in the direction of a more relatable album of euphoric, love, happyness, state of grace, introspective, freedom feel + classic dance tunes (which will always be apart of her brand)
(theme: Matureney/Happyney/Euphoricney/Introspectiveney mixed with Classicney) - oversexed $ht. Put a fork in it it is done
ballad-State of grace/Unusual you/Shadow/i run away/when i found you/someday/inside out/he about to lose me
uptempo-Break the ice/Toxic/Shattered glass/heaven on earth/Seal it with a kiss/up n down
quirky classic britney-mmm papi, mannequin, how i roll?, mad love
Plan: New single in Sept/Oct 2013 and album 4TH QUARTER November 2013...no 1st quarter nonsense.
Fall 1st single uptempo Toxic, Seal it with a kiss, Up n down teas,
Winter 2nd single midtempo/ballad Unusual you, inside out, Shadow, Everytime, He about to lose me, I run away teas
Spring 3rd single Uptempo Break the ice, heaven on earth, shattered glass teas
Summer 4th single Uptempo Toxic, what it's like to be me, how i roll
Fall 5th single midtempo/ballad someday, when i found you, i run away state of grace teas
