Anytime you call a hotel, restaurant or even a hospital and go, "I heard ____ is there. Is that true?" their standard response is they have no information about that. Even if you're standing in their lobby and are face to face with the celebrity.
A lot of those high end places have a policy in place if a staff member says someone is staying there, dining there or whatever they are terminated on the spot. It's to protect the privacy of their patrons.
