15th March 2012, 15:58
The 'Talk That Talk' singer says she is still planning to record a song with the 'Teenage Dream' star sometime soon.
Rihanna has promised fans her long-awaited duet with Katy Perry is still on the cards and will be coming out "in a while".
The 'You Da One' singer confirmed the two friends are still planning to team up for a collaboration, after planning to work together for several years.
"We have been working on this for years," Rihanna told Access Hollywood this week. "We still are trying to make a song together, Katy Perry and I.
"The song will probably come out in a while," she teased. "I won't say it's happening right now. But it's gonna happen."
The 'We Found Love' star described 'California Gurls' singer Katy as one of her favourite people in the music industry, and sai the two hang out together as much as their busy work schedules will allow.
She added: "Whenever we're in the same city we try to do something, whether it's seeing each other for five minutes for a hug or whether it's partying all night."
Rihanna is expected to premiere the music video for her Drake collaboration 'Take Care' later this month after unveiling several promo shots from the video shoot earlier this week.

Why would she go when she's treated like the queen in EMI?
She has no choice, they have been sold.
Quote:
LOS ANGELES -- EMI Group Ltd., the iconic British music company that is home to The Beatles, Coldplay and Katy Perry, is being split and sold for $4.1 billion.
The deals will open EMI's buyers, Universal Music and Sony/ATV, to regulatory scrutiny as they increase their dominance of the music industry.
Universal Music Group said Friday that it will pay 1.2 billion pounds ($1.9 billion) for the recording division, joining Universal artists including Lady Gaga and Eminem with EMI superstars such as David Guetta and Lady Antebellum.
Katy Perry Getting Own FOX Show

Could Katy Perry be getting her own TV show?
The National Enquirer reports that after the singer “snagged critical raves for hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ — and her hilarious turn as a wacko prison guard on ‘Raising Hope,’” FOX network honchos are “begging her to star in her own series.”
According to the tabloid, Fox is in “hush-hush talks” with Perry about the new show, which would be “programmed opposite NBC’s iconic skit-com, ‘Saturday Night Live!’”

The network, says the Enquirer, believes the pop star “can siphon off SNL’s desirable younger demographic” with the series. The hypothetical program is described as “a modernized ’70s-type variety show” and would have Perry “act in offbeat comedy skits, as well as sing and dance!”
How exciting!
However, the “hush-hush talks” about Perry’s show are apparently so secretive, not even FOX knows about them.
A rep for the network tells Gossip Cop the story is “untrue.”
Katy Perry sends her support to Dr. Patricia Bragg, N.D., Ph.D. at Bragg Live Food Product's 100 year anniversary celebration in Anaheim. Katy Perry's parents, ministers attended celebration and led opening prayer during event.
On a postive note, an article came out recently saying that "Universal hopes to keep EMI intact ".
Quote:
Universal Music hopes to keep EMI's recorded music business – the home to Katy Perry and Coldplay – intact as a single division within the enlarged music major, possibly with its own chief executive, if the European commission approves the £1.2bn takeover of the British business.
